Passion Story I

Introduction

Aloud Care is that subministry in Teens Aloud that is concerned with everything “care-related,” We love young people and thus prove our God-inspired love for them through compassion. Jesus Christ set the example in Matt. 9:36 and thus we follow (see also Col.3:12). Moreover, we use the opportunity to show care, to reach out to them with the gospel. We don’t only do “external”, but we also care for our dear teenbuilders by providing refreshments after love fellowship meetings, celebrating birthdays, etc. We are present at camps and missions too and everywhere else compassion or care is needed.

It all began in 2009 when a teenbuilder named Nora Tackie Otoo, then in the University of Ghana, had the burden to see TAF reach out to under-privileged young people through the provision of basic needs like food, clothing and shelter. So she brought the idea before Bro. K.K and it developed into what is now called Aloud Care (the subministry's name suggested by Nora as well). Thus the whole concept of Aloud Care was to reach out to young people by showing compassion to them. Presently, Aloud Care covers all forms of giving, sharing, and other means of showing care (including refreshments & birthday celebrations) undertaken by TAF. We simply enjoy making people feel loved

General Activities

  1. Refreshments/Feeding
This is the aspect of Aloud Care that ensures that people who turn up for Love Fellowship Meetings, Camps, Missions and other TAF Programs are fed and/ or refreshed. It must neither be “too wet” nor “too dry.”
  2. Celecare
This arm takes care of birthdays among other celebrations as well as visitations to teenbuilders and ensures that people in the fellowship feel loved.
  3. Educare
This is an Aloud Care initiative to basically sponsor young people who are brilliant but lack the financial support to further their education. More detail is given later in this manual.
  4. Care Reach
This arm ensures that gifted outreaches are organized in order to extend the love of God to the less-privileged through the provision of basic needs.
