TEENS ALOUD!! was birthed out of two major burdens:
1) To provide a medium which meets the needs of the youth
2) To provide a platform for mentoring talented young people to become positive role models in our society
These days the sources of information for young people is diverse but presented in a way which lacks creativity, lacks excitement, and are sometimes inappropriate. Most of Ghana’s recent publications have adults as their primary target, leaving young ones as secondary targets or at the hands of few money conscious people who will present inaccurate, false or immoral information in their bid to line their pockets with money. This challenge, we believe, can be met squarely not with a cosmetic approach like a ban on the above mentioned mediums, as it will only shove them into the black market. TEENS ALOUD!! comes in to provide a ‘VIRTUOUS and competitive’ product to face these unhealthy mediums squarely.
Young people in general have a real need – leadership! TEENS ALOUD!! provides a platform where talented young people will be coached or developed to become positive role models to their peers and significant others. In pursuance of this, these young people will interact and receive teachings and mentoring from their supervisors or adults, thereby providing them with the opportunity to develop and exhibit positive and moral norms and values.
